Can’t afford the latest fashion trends? Need a second job to support your fashion habit? There’s a different way to get the funds each month without dipping into the checking or credit accounts.
It’s hard to keep up to date with every fad that comes along without breaking the bank, unless a person is rich. Since most of us aren’t rich, this is important news.
The first thing one needs is a jar. That’s right, a jar – no lid, no label, just a jar that’s big enough to stick a hand into. Each month this jar is to be filled with money and that’s what will be used to support a monthly fashion habit. But, how does the jar get money in it?
Hang on to the Small Stuff
Change adds up fast. Now it’s not the old save-the-change-in-a-jar scheme; no, it’s more than that but it’s just as easy as tossing change into the jar every night.
Only spend the paper money. If paper bills are pulled out for every purchase it will do two things; one, it will make a person hyperaware of exactly how many bills they spend in a day, making them more dollar-conscious. Two, it makes the change add up faster!
Throw the change not spent during the day into this jar; people don’t realize just how fast change can add up. Katherine, in Portland, Oregon, does this and she pays her power bill with it every other month. Power is not cheap anymore, so this says a lot.
Give it a shot, what’s to lose – and then go shopping.
